Event Category 1: Canvas Stories (an art competition)
Guidelines for Preliminary Round (Deadline: 22nd August, 2020)
- 1. Submit any existing artwork to qualify for the competition.
- 2. The Participants should give a small description of their art via a video
- 3. The artwork and video to be submitted via a webform (Link will be sent to your registered email)
- 4. Participants need to register and submit the work using their full name, with the name of the school/or university
(For example, if your name is Deepak Jain and you are studying in Little Flower School, you need to upload your artwork as , Art_DeepakJain_LittleFlower and the description video as Description_DeepakJain_ LittleFlower)
- 5. The Artwork can be up to the participants and can submit any type of drawing or painting (Sketch, Water, Acrylic, etc.)
- 6. Deadline for submitting the artwork will be 22nd August 2020.
- 7. The results of the will be announced on 28th August 2020 via email with the competition guidelines. (email for waiting list students will be also sent).
- 8. The shortlisted candidates will advance to the actual online competition with waiting list candidates just in case the qualifiers are not able to participate
- 9. It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that the camera and audio is switched ON during the final competition. Otherwise, the candidate will be disqualified.
Guidelines for Final Competition(online) on 29th August 2020
- 1. Theme – To be announced on the day of the competition
- 2. Time – 1.5 hrs
- 3. Guidelines:
- - The students must do the art on A4 Paper
- - Choice of the type of Art is up to the Participants (Sketch, Water, Acrylic, etc.)
- - Painting must be the artists original work
- - Painting should be done within 1.5 hrs.
- - Participants will click a picture of their finished painting and submit on the link given
- - Participants will be given a minute or two to explain the artwork.
- 4. Judging Criteria
- - Originality, Inspiration and the Outlook of the Artwork

- - The winners (First place and Runner-up) will be the “Creative Rainbow 2020 Star of the event" and Runner-up respectively.
- - All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Event Category 2: Shutter Lock (a photography competition)
- 1. Submit any existing photograph to qualify for the competition on or before 22nd August 2020
- 2. The Participants should give a small description of their picture via a video
- 3. The artwork and video to be submitted via a webform (Link will be sent to your registered email)
- 4. Participants need to register and submit the work using their full name, with the name of the school/or university
- 5. (For example, if your name is Deepak Jain and you are studying in University of Stirling, you need to upload the work as, Photo_DeepakJain_Stirling and the description video as Description_DeepakJain_Stirling)
- 6. Shortlisted participants will be intimated on 23rd August, 2020 by email with the theme for the final round and other guidelines. Shortlisted participants to submit their final photograph on or before 27th August, 2020
- 7. Guidelines for the final round:
- - Submit a photograph clicked by you through a smartphone or a DSLR that captures the theme of the competition.
- - Images should be submitted in a high-resolution format in .Jpeg and at 300dpi. File size should not be more than 2-5 MB.
- - Final entries for ‘Shutter Lock’ category must be sent via a webform (Link will be sent to your registered email) before 20th August 2020
- - Entries must be artist’s original work. Photo manipulation and edits are allowed. Photos deemed inappropriate or culturally insensitive will be disqualified. If the photograph contains any elements that are not owned by the entrant, or which are subject to the rights of third parties, and/or if any persons appear in the photograph, the entrant is responsible for securing, prior to the submission of the photograph, consent and releases necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph.
- - For shortlisted and winning entries, participants grant the organizers unlimited use of the high-resolution images for activities on any platforms related to the competition. This includes and is not limited to social media, the university website, promotional material, and any educational activities, without any compensation being due.
- - Participants found in violation of the rules and regulations may be disqualified at any point at the discretion of the organizers.
