Campus to Corporate: “Interview Preparation”

This is Part II of the Work Readiness preparation series conducted by the PEW.
In this workshop we will be discussing everything you need to know to ace an interview- Including frequently asked questions by interviewers and tips to overcome your nerves.

Speakers:

Ms. Zareena Reah Kennedy

Zareena graduated with a triple Honors in Psychology, Political Science and Literature. She has an MBA with a dual majors in HR and Marketing. She is also a Certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Preventive and Promotive Healthcare.
Zareena is part of the HR industry by education and an experience spanning over 7 years in the areas of talent acquisition, talent management, and soft skills training.
She has a strong entrepreneurial bent with the experience of having been a consultant then owner of her own HR consultancy services firm.
Teaching is a passion for her- an avenue to combine her learning and skills and her deep desire to encourage and empower her students.

Ms. Shanthi Rajan

Shanthi Rajan is a senior HR professional with a cumulative 30 years of experience in HR and academia. Shanthi is the Director, SQA as well as the Director, Institution Development of University of Stirling, RAK campus and SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) Diplomas. She moved to academia in 2009 and has taught in many Universities of repute in UAE, Vietnam, Malawi, Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Shanthi plays a major role in the development of strategies and operational plans that result in achieving the overall objective of the Institution to be an academic center of excellence. This involves working with the relevant teams to deliver on the Institute’s Strategic Plan as it relates to Research, Faculty Development, International standards of teaching, Student employability, partnership development etc. She ensures that systems and frameworks are in place to drive and support integrated planning and strategic development across the Institute and represents the Institute in the wider community, as required and develops corporate connections with a view to conducting training workshops, student internship and placement opportunities.

She holds a Master’s degree with specialization in Strategic Human Resources Management from the University of Wollongong, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education Leadership from US. Her core areas of specialization and research interest includes Strategic HRM, OB, Leadership and Emotional Intelligence. She is an affiliate member of CILT (UK) and a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (SFHEA, UK). She is a certified S+EI coach from the Institute for Social and Emotional Intelligence (ISEI), Denver, Colorado and also certified in using Positive Psychology for coaching S+EI. She is also a certified ICF approved EIC Practitioner from NLP Academy and an Associate NLP Practitioner. She serves as an Advisory Board Member for a few academic institutions of repute. She was awarded the Commendation Teaching Impact Award 2020 (Individual Category) by University of Stirling, UK in May, 2020. She was felicitated the prestigious Academic Leadership Award from Higher Education Forum, India on the occasion of Teachers Day Event, September, 2021. She has completed her Postgraduate certification (PGCert) in teaching and learning from UK and her Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Derek Bok Centre of Teaching and Learning, Harvard University.
