Graphic Designer
Department - Marketing
Years of experience: Minimum 3 years of UAE experience
Overall purpose
As a graphic designer you'll create eye-catching visuals and will need to be creative, flexible and able to work well with others. You'll work on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising banners, books, magazines, posters, flyers, brochures, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, etc.
Working to a brief that has been agreed with the Digital Marketing Manager, COO or other manager of institution, you'll develop appropriate creative ideas and concepts.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
Principal Duties
Collaborates with all employees COO, and/or other project participants to understand assignment, audience, and intended message.
Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
Selects fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
Prepares drafts of design work/flyers and provides samples to editorial or other appropriate staff or departments for review.
Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
Consults with Digital Marketing Manager/Admission Head, and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized projects.
Prepares print orders and assembly instructions on notification of final approval.
Maintains records of billable project time as required.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Criteria
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite or other similar design software.
Organized with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently on an assignment.
Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Bachelor’s degree required; major or significant coursework in Art, Graphic Design, or related disciplines highly preferred.
Experience on working with all major Adobe software, animation software and other editing tools
At least three years of related work experience highly preferred.
Desirable Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in designing.
Experience in college/school will be preferred.
