The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus successfully organized a guest lecture on “Decoding Supply and Demand Dynamics” on 24th October 2024 as part of its academic enrichment initiatives for Management students. The session was conducted in collaboration with IBS Jaipur and focused on strengthening students’ understanding of key economic and market concepts relevant to modern business environments.
The guest lecture aimed to provide students with practical insights into the dynamics of supply and demand, market behavior, pricing strategies, and economic equilibrium. Students were introduced to the fundamental principles that influence market conditions, consumer behavior, production decisions, and pricing mechanisms across different industries and sectors.
The session explored how businesses respond to changing market forces, fluctuations in consumer demand, resource availability, and competitive pressures while making strategic operational and pricing decisions. Industry-relevant examples and case discussions enabled students to better understand the practical application of economic concepts within organizational and market contexts.
Students gained exposure to topics including market equilibrium, elasticity, pricing models, demand forecasting, supply chain considerations, and the impact of economic trends on business performance and strategic planning. The lecture also highlighted the importance of analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making in understanding market structures and achieving sustainable business growth.
