External Reporting

The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus successfully organized “External Reporting – Session 2” on 23rd January 2025 as part of its academic enhancement initiatives for Finance students. The session was conducted in collaboration with Stirling Business School and focused on strengthening students’ understanding of contemporary financial reporting practices and accounting standards.

The lecture aimed to provide students with advanced insights into external financial reporting, disclosure requirements, financial statement preparation, and the application of accounting standards within modern business environments. Students gained a deeper understanding of the importance of transparent financial reporting in supporting stakeholder decision-making, regulatory compliance, and corporate accountability.

The session explored key concepts related to financial statement analysis, reporting frameworks, accounting treatments, disclosure practices, and the role of external reporting in maintaining organizational credibility and financial transparency. Students were also introduced to practical applications of reporting standards and evolving trends influencing corporate financial communication.

Faculty experts from Stirling Business School shared practical examples and industry-oriented perspectives to help students connect theoretical accounting concepts with real-world reporting practices and professional expectations within the finance and accounting sectors.

The interactive lecture encouraged active student participation through discussions and practical examples, enabling students to strengthen their analytical and technical understanding of financial reporting systems and standards.
