The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus successfully organized a Research Session on “Crafting High-Impact Research Papers: From Idea to Publication” on 21st April 2025 as part of its academic research and scholarly development initiatives. The session was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex and aimed at strengthening students’ research writing capabilities, journal selection strategies, and publication readiness.
The session focused on guiding students through the complete research publication process, beginning from identifying research ideas and developing research objectives to preparing high-quality academic manuscripts suitable for publication in reputable journals. Students gained valuable insights into academic writing standards, literature review techniques, research structuring, referencing practices, and ethical considerations in scholarly publishing.
The lecture also explored important aspects of selecting appropriate journals, understanding indexing databases, avoiding predatory publications, responding to reviewer feedback, and improving the overall quality and impact of research work. Students were introduced to practical strategies for enhancing research visibility, publication success, and academic contribution within their respective disciplines.
Experts from Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sur Institute of Technology & Sports Complex shared professional experiences, publication guidance, and practical research methodologies to help students develop confidence in academic writing and research dissemination. The session emphasized the importance of originality, critical thinking, methodological rigor, and effective communication in producing impactful scholarly work.
