The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus successfully conducted an Online Session on “Effective Performance Management System” during AY 2023–24 in collaboration with KPMG Lower Gulf. The session was organized as part of the institution’s academic and industry engagement initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of modern organizational performance practices and HR technology integration.
The session focused on contemporary performance management systems and their significance in improving employee productivity, organizational effectiveness, and strategic business performance. Students were introduced to key concepts including goal setting, performance evaluation, employee engagement, feedback mechanisms, appraisal systems, and data-driven HR decision-making processes.
Industry experts from KPMG Lower Gulf shared valuable practical insights into how organizations integrate HR technology and digital tools within performance management frameworks to support talent development, workforce planning, and organizational growth. The session also explored emerging trends in human resource management, people analytics, performance measurement systems, and technology-enabled employee development practices.
Students gained exposure to real-world organizational practices and industry expectations related to managing employee performance within dynamic and evolving business environments. Interactive discussions and practical examples enabled participants to better understand the relationship between performance management strategies, leadership, organizational culture, and business success.
