Celebrating Our Students' Immersive Learning Experience at GISEC Global 2023
The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus proudly revisits the enriching experience our BSc Computing and Software Engineering students had at GISEC Global 2023. Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre on the 15th and 16th of March, this excursion offered our students an unparalleled glimpse into the world of technology and cybersecurity.
Event Insights and Highlights:
Our students had the invaluable opportunity to interact directly with professionals from leading tech entities such as Microsoft, CISCO, Google, Spire, CrowdStrike, Kaspersky, Synack, Huawei, and Randori (an IBM company).
Students were accompanied and mentored by esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Shamik Palit & Ms. Seema Mitra on the second day, and Dr. Maher Alndiwee & Prof. Preetha Varakkoth Kalyadan on the third day.
By participating in technical puzzles and learning activities, students experienced firsthand the power of emerging technologies like AI and VR.
The event opened avenues for potential collaborations with these tech giants, with companies expressing interest in providing internships, workshops, and campus visits for our students.
