Social and Emotional Intelligence: IQ, EQ and Personality

CAE’s first outreach in India (23 August, 2019)!

A fantastic day spent with over 45 students and 15 teaching staffers at KCG college, Chennai. KCG College of Technology is an Engineering college in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India and was founded in 1998 to fulfill the Founder- Chairman, Dr. K.C.G Verghese’s vision of “making every man a success and no man a failure”. It was indeed an honor and privilege for University of Stirling, RAK campus,  to conduct a half day workshop for the Engineering students and teaching staffers at KCG and also interact and share good insights about teaching, learning and most importantly about Social and Emotional Intelligence (SEI) and the impact it has not just on performance but on the overall attitude and behavior.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Dean of Academics, Dr. Sarukesi as well as the Principal Dr. G. Prabhakaran for giving UoS this wonderful opportunity to conduct this SEI workshop.  The workshop primarily focused on explaining SEI as a form of intelligence that drives our success in work and in life and in our relationships with others.  SEI is about being aware of ourselves and others, in the moment, and using that awareness to manage ourselves (our behavior, our responses to stressful or challenging situations), and manage our relationships with others.
