The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah Campus successfully organized a guest lecture on “Project Management – Agile Approach in SDLC” on 18th February 2023. The session was delivered by Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari, IT Project Manager at Infosys, who shared valuable industry insights into modern project management practices and agile methodologies within software development environments.
The lecture focused on the Agile approach in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its growing significance in managing technology-driven projects efficiently and collaboratively. Students were introduced to key concepts related to Agile project management, iterative development, sprint planning, team collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement practices adopted within contemporary IT and business environments.
Drawing from his professional experience at Infosys, Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari discussed practical challenges and best practices associated with managing software projects using Agile frameworks. The session highlighted the importance of flexibility, adaptability, communication, teamwork, and customer-focused delivery in ensuring successful project execution.
Students also gained valuable exposure to Agile tools, project planning techniques, workflow management strategies, and the role of project managers within dynamic software development ecosystems. Real-world examples and industry case discussions enabled students to better understand how Agile methodologies contribute toward improving productivity, efficiency, and innovation within organizations.
The interactive session encouraged active student participation and provided an excellent platform for bridging theoretical project management concepts with practical industry applications and emerging technological practices.
